Skill Objective(s)

Before you write your final skill objective, research skills and knowledge that support or are essential for you to be able to complete your design.  Research these skills in depth and compile a list that can be developed.

Proficiency in:

  • Drawing & Painting
  • Figure Drawing
  • 3D modeling: use programs like Maya or 3DS Max
  • Digital Sculpture: use programs like Mudbox or Zbrush
Should have a strong sense of:
  • Color
  • Anatom
  • Proportion
  • Aesthetics

Skill Objectives:  Write a comprehensive skill objective(s) relating to your design objective including general details.  This can change or evolve, but all changes MUST be dated and documented.

Find a specific tutorial or a number of mini tutorials of a skill that you need or want to learn that is related to your goal or design objective. You will finish this tutorial or a realistic number of tutorials by the end of the semester.  If the tutorial is too demanding and not realistic to finish by the end of the semester, make sure you document regularly to prove adequate work was done.   Post images and link to the tutorial. This should also include a justification of why you chose this tutorial.
Digital Sculpture: I will develop my Autodesk Mudbox sculpture skills, focusing on organic modeling.  To do so I will follow the T-Rex tutorial.  I will document my progress daily.   I chose this tutorial because I felt learning Mudbox is the most import aspect related to my design.  Also, this tutorial looks like it would be a lot of fun and I want to do it whether I am graded or not.   8/28/16
